RESCUE-ENGINE WORKS PIN JOB IN 3'S AREA

 

July 24th - E9-1 and A9-7 were alerted at 12:39 to assist Co.3 with a vehicle accident at South Rabbit Road and Buchanan Trail West involving a tractor trailer partially on top of a van with entrapment. A9-7 arrived and was assigned to check the truck driver who refused treatment/transport, the crew from the Rescue-Engine assisted with stabilization and extrication of the driver of the van. Crews from 3 and 9 worked together for about 30 minutes to free the patient. Units from 9 cleared the scene at 13:32.

NEW BUILDING ADDITION

 

July 22nd - Things are moving along smoothly with the new addition to the back of the station. The new addition is a 40' x 60' bay area w/ 2 10'x10' bay doors, 2 12'x12' bay doors, 8'x8' mechanical room, 12'x20' storage room and a heated floor. Keep checking back for more info and photos.

2ND FIRE OF THE DAY - THIS ONE FIRST DUE

 

July 14th - At 15:28 Communications alerted Box 9-02 for a reported mobile home/shed on fire at 11915 Punch Bowl Road in the 1st due. E9-2 with AC 9 (Carbaugh) on-board arrived on scene to find a shed on the ground and a mobile home and SUV fully involved with all occupant accounted for, the crew put two 1.75" lines in service and started putting a knock on the fire. Additional crews arrived and assisted with fire suppression and extensive overhaul operations bringing the fire under control 18 minutes. Command started releasing units within an hour, Co.9 units cleared at 17:42. E21-1 (MTVFD) covered the 9 House during the incident.

WAGON & TOWER ON THE 18 BOX

 

July 14th - E9-2 and Tower 9 responded at 01:52 into St Tomas Township - 2328 Community Center Road Box 18-13 for the house on fire. Units from 18 arrived to a 1.5 story home with fire through the roof on the A/D corner and put a quick knock on the fire, the crews from the Engine and Tower arrived and were put to work doing extensive overhaul in the fire room and other areas throughout the home. Tower 9 cleared the scene at 02:42 and E9-2 cleared at 03:24.

TOWER REMOVES ONE FROM A ROOF

 

July 10th - At 09:45 Co.9 Ambulance and Co.9 were alerted to 11730 Anne Lane in Montgomery Twp for an injured person. Ambulance 9-7 and Tower 9 responded and were advised by Communications of a male patient on a roof with back problems. A9-7 arrived on scene to assess the patient and the Tower arrived shortly after to set up Tower operations to remove the patient from the roof. The patient was removed and transported to Chambersburg Hospital priority 3 and Co.9 cleared at 10:10.

PIN JOB & DOUBLE FLY-OUT ON MERCERSBURG ROAD

 

May 26th - Units were dispatched at 12:08 to the area of 11020 Mercersburg Road for an auto accident with entrapment. E9-1 and A9-8 arrived on scene to find the roadway blocked with one patient heavily trapped, the Engine crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle and had the extrication complete within 20 minutes while additional EMS crew handled two other patients. E9-2 handled LZ operations for Life Lion, one patient was flown to Hershey Med, one to York Hospital and transported by ground to WCH. All MMP&W units cleared the scene at 13:48.
